libc6-prof software package provides Embedded GNU C Library: Profiling Libraries, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libc6-prof
libc6-prof is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libc6-prof package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libc6-prof *
You will get with libc6-prof package name, version, architecture and description in a table
